The kitchen layout of this newer Pickering home was already functional but the original low quality cabinets didn't offer the level of storage or practically the home owners wanted. To keep the project cost effective, we used IKEA cabinets in an off white painted finish and enhanced them with oil rubbed bronze hardware and granite counter tops. The room was visually expanded by removing the upper storage over the cook top, adding a decorative hood fan and extending the backsplash to the ceiling. Keeping a tight budget and focusing the dollars spent on high impact items enabled the home owners to get a good return on their investment when the time came to sell.
