Beauparlant Design - LPK's Retail Store, Toronto

This is the first retail location for this high end pastry, cake and chocolate shop. The space, a former jewellery store, was completely renovated to accommodate a small retail space and a commercial kitchen on the ground floor with offices and storage below. Architecturally, the passing from the consumer to the maker was critical to the space and a consideration for access, production, storage and display had significant impact on the design.

The interior materials and finishes were carefully selected to minimize environmental impact and coincide with the clientís holistic and organic approach. The owner, Lesia Kohutís personal touch was incorporated into the interior by translating her chocolate pattern design into the kitchen entrance transom panel and the front door pulls.
