Interior architecture and design
At Beauparlant Design, we design for private home owners creating exceptional kitchens, refined bathrooms and welcoming living spaces. We offer a full range of architectural and interior design services, including space planning, building permit drawings, construction documentation, interior design, furniture and millwork. We also work for a select number of commercial clients creating unique retail and hospitality environments.
We take a holistic approach and consider projects as a whole to take account of all factors, stakeholders, objectives, outside restrictions (Zoning and municipal by-laws) budget and values.
Our typical process covers design in the most complete sense; from initial concept and planning through to construction. We work in close partnership with our clients, professional associates, engineers and contractors to offer a complete and resolved solution.
- Planning and schematic design – high level space planning, programming and functional requirements.
- Design Development- detailed drawings, identification of materials, finishes and construction details.
- Construction documentation – working drawings, specifications and consultant coordination.
- Permit application and project tender – preparation of application package and contractor coordination.
- Construction administration – regular and scheduled site meetings, shop drawing review, maintain design intent.
Building permit and planning
Beauparlant design Inc. is qualified and registered with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to engage in the business of providing design activities to the public. These activities and qualifications are defined under subsection 15.11(5) of the Building Code Act, 1992, and are subject to the registration requirements set out in Subsection 3.2.4 of Division C of the Building Code.
Beauparlant design Inc. has a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) and thereby entitles the studio to engage in the business of providing design activities required for building permit applications and any other building-related work in small buildings.
Small buildings are defined as structures with less than or equal to 600m² in building area & less than or equal to 3 stories in building height & used for residential, business or personal services, mercantile, medium or low hazard industrial occupancies. This includes detached houses, semi-detached houses, townhouses and row houses, as well as detached structures/buildings accessory to a house on the same property.
Furniture and product development is how Beauparlant started and it is at the core of our foundation. We are developing a greater number of custom pieces for our clients, along with limited edition self-produced pieces.
